Installation Steps
Prepare the Files
Get your cursor files ready for installation
- Convert your PNG images into .cur (static cursors) or .ani (animated cursors) files
- You can also download and use ready-made .cur and .ani files if provided in the pack
- Recommended sizes: 32×32 px or 48×48 px with alpha transparency
- Make sure the hotspot (click point) is placed at the tip of the arrow
Open Mouse Settings
Access Windows mouse customization options
- Open Settings → Devices → Mouse
- Click on Additional mouse options (on the right side or bottom)
- In the popup window, switch to the Pointers tab
Assign Your Custom Cursors
Link your cursor files to Windows pointer states
- Select each mouse pointer role (Normal Select, Busy, Text Select, etc.)
- Click Browse… and choose the corresponding .cur or .ani file
- Repeat for all cursor states included in your pack
Save the Scheme
Create and apply your custom cursor scheme
- When you finish assigning cursors, click Save As…
- Give your scheme a unique name (e.g., My Custom Pack)
- Press OK to apply the changes

Your new cursor pack is now applied system-wide. You can switch between schemes at any time in the same Pointers tab. Experiment with different cursor packs to find your perfect style!
