Shadow Fight

Shadow Fight solved a hard problem elegantly: how do you make a fighting game readable on a small touchscreen? You remove all detail from the characters. Everyone is a black silhouette, so every limb and weapon is legible at a glance against the background.

That choice turned into the series' entire identity, and it makes the animation the star. Nekki used motion capture and physics-driven ragdolls, so hits land with genuine weight and knockdowns look painful in a way most mobile fighters never achieve.

The combat is closer to a weapons duel than a brawler. Range and timing matter enormously, blocking is positional, and a bad approach against a spear user will simply end you. It's more demanding than the presentation suggests.

The story is standard martial-arts fare - a warrior opens a forbidden gate and loses his body to shadow - but it gives the aesthetic a reason to exist.
