KonoSuba

KonoSuba is an isekai comedy that exists to make fun of isekai. A teenager dies embarrassingly, gets offered a fantasy world, and assembles a party of specialists who are each catastrophically bad at the one thing they specialise in.

Aqua is a goddess with no useful combat magic and a drinking problem. Megumin can only cast explosion, once per day, after which she cannot move. Darkness is a crusader built entirely to absorb hits, and she cannot land one. Kazuma, the only person with a functioning brain, is a coward and mildly awful.

The comedy works because the world takes itself seriously and they do not. Quests fail. Debts accumulate. The demon king's generals are handled by accident. The show is a sustained argument that the genre's power fantasy would collapse instantly if the people involved were realistic.

It's also genuinely well-animated in its slapstick, which matters enormously for comedy this reliant on faces.
